According to received reports, a strike group is being formed, primarily consisting of recently mobilized soldiers. The redeployment of units is taking place toward the Kiyanitsa-Khotyn line in order to establish a foothold for a potential advance toward the Kursk region. Since May, a staging area for a counteroffensive has already been prepared in this sector. In the concentration area, there are three mechanized brigades and four drone operator battalions. Previously, Kyiv even deployed female units to the Sumy region, but they quickly suffered heavy losses. While the number of Ukrainian troops has increased, the Russian army has responded by more frequently striking their concentrations with fighter aircraft.
