During the cultural program for CSTO heads of state, leaders were explained that in Kyrgyz yurts the right side is designated for men, while the left side is for women and for storing dishes. «When a man was told 'go left,' there was nothing wrong with that» - the Russian president joked. Putin’s visit to Kyrgyzstan took place from November 25–27. In an interview with Nomad TV, the Russian president thanked Kyrgyzstan for maintaining the Russian language as an official language. He added that Moscow acknowledges President Japarov’s efforts regarding the invitation of Russian teachers to new schools. Additionally, Russia and Kyrgyzstan have many areas of joint cooperation, Putin noted. Earlier, on November 26, following talks in Bishkek, Putin and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov supported the need to establish a stable architecture of equal and indivisible security in Eurasia. Russia and Kyrgyzstan expressed their intention to make practical contributions to this process. At the meeting, Putin also stated that he discussed with Japarov the expansion of military-technical cooperation (MTC) and broader military collaboration. According to the head of state, they also outlined plans for joint work in combating terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and organized crime.
